Q1. Tell us something about yourself and your work?
Ans: I am Joshua Anglo, born and brought up in Nagpur.
By profession I am software engineer and we have family business of schools in Nagpur city.
I am someone who likes simplicity and being occupied doing something creative all times.
Faith drives me completely.
Q2. When did you start writing?
Ans: I remember in class 9 we were given assignment to write poem and I composed a poem on waves.
But it was only in year 2000, that I felt like putting my thoughts in words and ended up writing a poem.
A friend of mine saw it and motivated to write more.
Guess that’s how I discovered this hidden talent of writing within me.
Q3. When did you decided to become a poet?
Ans: As I started writing few poems, I gave 1 poem in VNIT Nagpur’s annual gathering program. And to my surprise I won the Best Poetry. People loved my poem and that’s when I realized God has gifted me the talent of composing poems.
That’s how the poet in me was born.
My Mom’s been my biggest motivator.
Q4. How do you feel to be as a writer?
Ans: To be a writer feels liberating and blessed. I can put my thoughts, experiences and feelings into words and convey it to the people.
Words that people relate to and feel content on reading.
This gives me immense pleasure and peace.
Q5. Tell us something about your book “Journey Within”. Why did you choose this title?
Ans: This is my first book ever. My biggest dream that I cherished since I started composing poems.
Its collection of all experiences and feelings that has touched me and helped me to evolve.
The title denotes about the most profound Journey that everyone needs to take in their life, within themselves- to look within and know oneself better.
Which always help us being content and attain peace.
Q6. Tell us some of the memories associated with the book?
Ans: This book is best described as real pieces of me, that are genuine and closest to my heart.
Poems that I have composed for past 15 years are in this book.
Memories range from profound joy, to deepest hurt, to self-motivation and strengthening of faith.
When I read this book, my life’s flashback rolls in front of my eyes.
Q7. Who is your source of inspiration?
Ans: I would say Life and experiences are my source.
Feelings that have touched my heart and situations I have been through helps me to compose my poems.
Q8. What is your favorite genre in Poetry?
Ans: Nothing specific as such.
But I like the genre related to life and inspiration.
Q9. What marketing strategies you are doing for promoting your book?
Ans: I am making a small video to showcase my book before and after launch.
I will be taking people’s previews and reviews to make my book more attractive to buyers/readers.
Also I am in talks with Books marketing agency “Books Baker” to help me promote my book in efficient ways.
Q10. Do you read poetry books? Who is your favorite poet?
Ans: Not much, but I like poems by “John Keats”.
I like to read stories behind the Old Christian Hymns composed years ago.
Also I like to read poems by new poets sometimes that get published in local newspapers.
Q11. Do your poetry book connected with your life history. Show some light on it?
Ans: Oh that’s for sure.
I can only compose if something touches me and something I have been through.
So all my poems are about my life’s experiences at various stages.
Q12. How will you rate your poetry?
Ans: My poetries are simple and honest. Something my readers could easily relate with.
They are like my children, so I cannot rate them good or bad J
Q13. What is your biggest strength when writing is concerned?
Ans: When writing, I like to completely involve myself into the theme/topic and focus on my thoughts and writing.
So I would say my strength would be total focus and of course faith.
Q14. Apart from writing what is your favorite hobbies?
Ans: Oh I like to read, watch good movies, play guitar, gym and sing in church choir.
Lately I started acting in English theatre group.
Q15. Tell your association with your publisher?
Ans: It has been real blessing to get such a good publisher who have been totally supportive and very patient with me and my work.
It being my first book I made many changes and my publisher gladly accepted all and never cribbed.
I totally feel my book is in safe hands and I will achieve success with my publisher and marketing agency.
Q16. Any message for your readers?
Ans: Buy and read my book, of course
Just believe in yourself and never lose faith no matter what happens.
