Firstly, I would like to begin with the most basic question, how did your journey with the pen begin?

Journey with pen began when I was just 12 years old. Writing or basically poetry began in a way of studying or mugging up things. Then, I often used to search for rhythmic words or phrases rhyming with the syllabus that we had to mug up. Also being an introvert person I found it very difficult to express my feelings. When the night sleeps, I used to scribble unspoken emotions which turned poetry. Thus began my journey with the pen.

1. Where were you born and where do you call home? Or where are you from? What is your profession?

A.  Born and brought up in Mumbai, so I call Mumbai as my home. Academically I’am a Chemical Engineer (Diploma + B. Tech) with multiple certifications from NIIT and Oracle and currently pursuing a Cisco Certification course from Bangalore. Professionally iam still a student but have looked after our family business for 3 years.

2. How long have you been writing? How many Poetry book have you Published?

 A. Iam Writing since I was twelve years old. Silent Voices, Breaking Silence Series (Series of Four books), these 5 books come under a solo title along with it iam a part of Colours an Anthology with 3 other young and vibrant writers, also iam a part of Project Humming Bird.

3. What kind of writer would you describe yourself as?

A.  hmm… A writer that follows his heart only while scribbling notes.

4. Which is the source of your inspiration?

A.  Daily Life can be the best phrase that can describe my source of inspiration. Still at times I jot down the unexpressed emotions which lies deep within my heart.  Whenever something comes in my mind I make it a point to scribble it somewhere or type it.

5.  How do you feel when your name is engraved in the Indian Book of records in 2012? What is it for?

A.  That feeling cant be expressed but I was on cloud nine when India Book Of Records took a note of my work. The record being the Most Published Poet in a year with a total 400 poems being published in a series a four books in a year.

6. Murder to Moksha is your first Fiction novel. How did you get an Idea from?

A.. Yes Murdered To Moksha is my first Fiction Novel with Ketki Borgaonkar. Some topics are less spoken about or not spoken at times. Murdered To Moksha is one such novel that deals with one of the most controvertial topics that exists in the world in which we live in. so I decided to have my hands on this topic.

7. What are your future goals with your writing?

A..  Future goals … just write and write more and continue writing as a hobby. I don’t intend to make it as my bread and butter despite the accolades attached with my name in the literary field.

8. What is your genre and are there any other genres that you would like to try?

A. Fiction based on real life is my genre of writing. Other genre I will like to try includes Non Fiction on Social issues on which I have already started my research work and consulting many attornies for the same.

9.  Tell me Something about your book and the characters and also about you co-author Ketki Borgaonkar?

A. The book revolves around the Life of Aarav and Esha the Protagonist  of the book, dealing with one the most controvertial topics as earlier mentioned Murdered to Moksha is an easy read and everyone will be able to connect to it. Aarav’s Character resembles me to quite an extent but yes there is fiction attached with it. Whereas Esha’s Character can be defined as a subtle lady who knows the value of life.

Ketki Borgaonkar… A mature kid can best describe her. Despite her working hours and studies she has made up to the expectations which I was looking for. The core concept of the book is my idea and majority of the writing work is of Ketki with my inputs as well. We used to sit together over a video conference at night and discuss scenes that had to be incorporated in the book, majority taking instances from our real lives. Ketki is also a very good poet and she writes really good poetry.  A very expressive person and can express emotions with a few strokes of pen.

10. Tell me Something about your passion for poetry?

A. It all started when I was twelve years old. I was finding it difficult to study and was losing on grades. Being introvert was the biggest problem; I was not able to convey my difficulties to even my teachers as well. This difficulty of me was noticed by my partner at that time Swayam. So one day he just told me a very simple technique to remember things i.e. to write and practice and try to write in short ways and in rhythmic ways so that it is easy to remember. While doing this once for a chapter in geography, it turned out to be a poem. And it started from there. I began to think if studies can be made in a rhythmic way, why not emotions, so I began to write whatever came in my mind, the messages or emotions that I couldn’t convey were scribbled down.

The hobby of writing was a well kept secret till the time I reached the vacation of my ninth grade. It’s during the vacation of the ninth grade that studies for the tenth grade begin. To improve my English and to clear doubts, rather loads of doubts, I used to go to an English Teacher who stayed in the same complex and our family friend as well. It was once while talking to her it came out of me that I write which was a well kept secret till that time. She asked me to show some of my writing if not all. I selected five poems and took it along with me to her place and she started reading; she was one of the first to encourage me to start writing.

Time passed by very smoothly till the year 2007. It was during this time I had three friends we all used to hang out in malls and in coffee shops... We all four used to sit in a specific coffee shop in crosswords. One day while together I just pointed out the Literature section in that a specific sub section – Poetry. I just told them I will at one point of time have my book here on these shelves. To my utter surprise I was surrounded by laughter. I just looked around and all three were laughing at me and one girl in specific told me who will read your book or in the first place publish it. I felt very bad and was feeling very embarrassed as there were many people sitting around looking at me. I just got up from that table and while going from there I told them I will not forget your laughter and one day atleast one of my books will be here in this shop and in this section. It took me four years to publish my first book.

Now if you see the journey of me in poetry

It all started with a way to remember things for studies . . . scribbling down my unsaid feelings and emotions . . . to the best kept secret . . . to being made fun of, mocked at, and even laughed publically at. . . . And now with the collection of five books on the shelves of many book stores worldwide and a National Record with India Book Of Records and an honorary Doctorate Degree conferred by World Record University

11. What books have influenced your writing?

A. I’am not an avid reader so I cant answer this.  Giving a fake answer was easy but I prefer not to be fake.

12. Tell me you have already achieved great heights and won so many awards. How you take this success?

A. Yes… a shelf full of awards and trophies. I should take the awards and success humbly, but I take it with a bit of pride. As a dream which was mocked publically is now a reality.

13. Is it your habit to wait for inspiration or you just get on to writing?

A..  No… whatever come across my mind I just scribble it down. I don’t wait for any inspiration to come across else I would I have just kept waiting and wouldn’t have started writing.

14. How you reach over the reviews you get for your books?

A. I Love my critics, I take them in a very good spirit, after all its for my betterment, betterment for my writing skills, though not a profession but as a hobby.

Finally, Do you have anything specific that you want to say to our readers…

Hmm… I am often mistaken as an arrogant person which I am not, I just say the truth dead blunt on your face which is hard for many to digest.  Murdered to Moksha depicts this well in the Character of Aarav.  Even before its release M2M has been tagged as an internet hit, looking forward for more showers of love from our readers.

Firstly, I would like to begin with the most basic question, how did your journey with the pen begin?

A.    To be honest I still cannot remember where my journey with the pen began, in my eighth standard I used to write some quotes for my greeting cards to my friends. This is what I remember. And in my tenth standard I got an idea about a story so I wrote it as a short story it was appreciated by my classmates and that encouraged me to write a novel.

1. Where were you born and where do you call home? Or where are you from?

A. I was born in a mango city called “Salem” . Now I am located                                                                                                    in a village called Jalakandapuram located in Salem. This is my hometown.

2. How long have you been writing? / How many books old you are?

A. I am writing since I was 15. But I don’t write continuously. I started a novel at the age of 15 but I dint have time to continue it so I dropped it. Two years later I started “adventures of Dollar Right” and I completed it. Later as I struggled hard to publish it without financing made me hate writing but I came back last year and started writing my second novel “Romantic Rhythms”.  So it means I'm young  just a book old or one and a half :D

What kind of writer would you describe yourself as?

A. I describe myself as a suspense writer. I write different genre but with or without my knowledge there will be lots of suspense and eagerness in the novel. That’s what I'm special for.

4. Which is the source of your inspiration?

A.  Encouragement from my parents, brother and friends were my source of inspiration

5. Do you have any other interests?

A. Yeah I am interested in writing lyrics. And am interested in playing cricket I'm a left arm medium pacer.

6 You have Published Ebook version of your book… Why?

A.. I have tried lots of publishers but no one was able to help me out. As I had no source for publishing I just wanted the story to reach people, at that time ebooks were a good idea to make them rich. But later I realized I need to do marketing of my own. I learned lots of things and earned lots of people from this ebook publishing.

7. What are your future goals with your writing?

A..  I need to write books as much as possible. Need to give people lots of morals and help them to be morally good to all. Will later try to reduce crime through my good values.

8. What is your genre and are there any other genres that you would like to try?

A. My genre is adventure , romance and young adult. Yeah I would like to write SCI fiction, motivational and personality development books.

9 Will you Publish your book in the future?

A. Of course books are written to publish. My target is to publish 10 books in 3 years. Looking forward to achieve my target.

10. Tell me Something about your book and the characters?

A . “Adventures of Dollar Right” is an adventure book with lots of Adventure and suspense with twists. It has four important characters Dollar Right (story centered) , Repy and Bash. I leave the fourth Character to be a suspense .

13. Do you have plans for a new book?   Name them and what are they based on ?

A.  “Romantic Rhythms” is my next book and now I have plans about it. It is a big novel with 27 chapters. It is a romance novel. I would like to subtitle it as “True font of love”. A love story a present generation is allowed in 2050 to explain what love is about. So the story also contains my imagination of India in 2050.

14. What books have influenced your writing?

A. Merchant of Venice and Julius Ceasar.

15. Is there an Author that you would really like to meet and also whom you consider your ideals?

A. Yeah but they are no more Shakesphere, Bharathiyar, Rabindarnath Tagore, camber, Kabilar and Thiruvallur. Is there any possibility to meet them ?

16. Is it your habit to wait for inspiration or you just get on to writing?

A.. I just get to writing. I just want to write a lot.

17. How you reach over the reviews you get for your books?

A. Yeah reviews are always a source of improvement and different point of views I would just like to have positive reviews for encouragement and negative review for attracting all kinds of people and try to bring perfection in the writing.

Finally, Do you have anything specific that you want to say to our readers…

Apart from author. I'm just a simple guy. Looking to be friendly with all. Anyone at any time can contact me. If you find the positives in my writing please take it and if you find negatives in my writing please avoid it, forgive me and please try to inform me so that I would avoid those things in the future.

Q.1)    Everyone describes you differently though common attributes can            be taken out from their  description. We would like to know what            Aman Sharma really is?
Ans. For me, each day of my life is a new experience. I love to help others               and enjoy laughing and watching others have a good time. I am a very               honest person who will bust his butt to achieve his goals in life. I don't               like watching people get hurt and I will defend people that can't defend             themselves. I don't   like people who lie or are high and mighty. But above all, I am a content  person who believes that we should all stop and enjoy life whenever we can because  we are only here a short time and letting life slip by without enjoying it is a waste!

Q.2) Starting from the beginning Aman, how come you ended up in the literature world and that           too as a publisher? Tell us your journey in brief; was it pre-planned or instant?

Ans. Getting into literature was an instant decision that I made last year. I was on vacation last year, somewhere around March end, where I got the idea of starting a publishing house. I shared the idea with one of my friends at that time and being interested in doing something else from his family business, he joined me. So, after a thorough research for a couple of months and completing all the formalities, I became a publisher.

Q.3) You were associated with Parlance Publishers for almost a year How was the journey so far?

Ans. The Journey was good and i enjoyed it. I contact to the readers and authors there. For details of upcoming books to correspondence with authors or introducing something new, promoting them etc.. Was my task to do.

the , working of the company was done on a mutual basis. I cannot go ahead and claim that I was the one doing all the work, like other people do. That’s just most un-professional thing a person can do, claiming everything to be done by him when you know there were other people too.

Q.4) Tell us something about Triumph Publishing and the values on which you laid its foundation?

Ans. Triumph Publishing is a new venture started by me. Its foundation was laid on three basic values that I follow namely:

PRIDE = Personal Responsibility In Delivering Excellence.
LEAD = Learn Earn Appreciate Develop.
GRACE = Greatness Results After Choosing Excellence.

I guess these values are self explanatory and I don’t have to explain them.

Q.5) So you are doing a job now and also handling the operations of Triumph. How difficult is it for         you to manage everything?

Ans. Managing everything is a nothing less than a miracle as some people say. My schedule is a bit hectic but thanks to my shift timing at a job, I am able to manage both things and still get some time out for my social life.

Q.6) Now that you bought your social life in mid, I can’t resist myself asking this question. What’s         your relationship status and I heard you’re planning to get married soon?

Ans. Hahaha, my relationship status is still single and yes my family is planning for getting me married by next year or so and they are seriously busy looking for the perfect match. For me, their decision and choice will be the final one, thus I am concentrating on my career aspects instead of thinking about marriage and relationships.

Q.7) In this scenario, where we have young entrepreneurs everywhere, what do you think makes            you stand out?

Ans.“Business started just for money is a poor business. For me, enthusiasm and will are still more important than professionalism and profits.”

Today, young entrepreneurs are working day and night just for two things; money and fame. This is what my thinking is about business and I think this makes me stand out of all those entrepreneurs who work out day and night just for money & fame.

Q.8) Apart from an entrepreneur, you are also an avid reader and a reviewer; you must have read         an array of different books. What are your favorites and why?

Ans. I have read an array of books and have many favorites as I am choosy when it comes to books (Haha). Still if I have named a few then I will go with The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Flirting with Fate by Preeti Singh, The Other Side of The Bed by Bhavya Kaushik, The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy and Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. The reason I like these books is because the writer has gone beyond the normal imagination power of a human being and has portrayed something exponential.

Q.9) Since you also blog and write a lot. Are you planning to write a novel too? Can you share its idea with us?

Ans. Yes, I am writing a novel too titled “It’s All About Destiny” which was scheduled to be out this summer but couldn’t. The book is 70% complete and I have sent it to multiple publishers for evaluation. Hope I will get the good news very soon. Fingers Crossed.

Q.10) What do you think about the idea of "co-authoring" a book?

Ans. Co-authoring a book is a great concept only when both the authors are working over it. I mean, in the recent past I have noticed people co-authoring book either with a published author just to get the attention of the readers or with the person they are in a relationship with just to show their love. For me, I will co-author a book only if I am of the opinion that two people can do justice to the concept, not one. And as a footnote, I would like to share with you that I will be working on my second novel since July which will be catered.

Q.11) Do you think that in today's world a good marketing matters more than the actual content and writing style involved in a book..?

Ans. Marketing can give a jump start to the book but is not successful in the long run. After a specific time, marketing plays very less role as compared to the content and writing style of the book. As we say, “Mouth publicity is the best publicity”. Once the book has been read, it will be recommended by readers to each other only if its content is good, else they will advise not to read it. So for me, marketing is good for giving a jump start to your book but for the long run, writing skills prevails.

Q.12) What advice would you Like to give to the young authors and editors who want to make it in           the Literary world?

Ans. I think the only thing I can think of is that the only way to guarantee failure is to stop trying. This is a business that rewards persistence. Many people say you need “luck” to make it but I think we make our own luck by stacking the odds in our favor. If your first book doesn’t catch fire, write another. Don’t rely on others to get the word out, even if you are published through a large traditional publisher. Take responsibility for building your own audience. Set your sights toward continuous improvement and don’t expect over-night success. If you think your first finished novel is a train wreck, consider it an investment in those dues you have to pay to get to that level where your work would be at a level where it could find an audience that loves it.
