Publisher: Mahaveer Publication…
Verdict: ☆☆☆ A nice and simple book to read which will give you a pleasant smile in the end after you finish the book. Wonderful narration and crisp and debateable concept which makes it an interesting read.
About The Author: Murlidhar Srivastava is the author of the bestselling ‘Love Destiny and those two days’, a novel in which he took up a bold subjectof superstition and sensibly and interestingly handled it around a plot that revolves round the astrological predictions. The book has been appreciated as one of the most fascinating books and a different kind of a love story….
About The book: "1959 --- Vijay Verma sees Sheela Verma in an award function and loses his heart to her ..... 1985 --- Sandeep Verma meets Seema Singh in a marriage ceremony and falls instantly in love..... 2009--- Ritika Verma comes across Ravi Parsuraman in her college campus and misses a few heartbeats..... One family...Three generations... Well, time changes, generations' change..... Love stories stay? However, every generation has different ways of expressing it and every generation has its own problems. There are large social, familial, cultural and life style changes that Indian society has undergone in the last fifty odd years....... and the book through the love stories of three succeeding generations of one family has tried to interestingly deal with those changes but raises some moralistic issues ..... It is a ONE DAY STORY which starts in the morning at 9am and finishes at 9pm on the dinner table......."
Review: The cover of the book is simple but Title and blurb attracts you to read the book. It is a story about three generations and their views and opinion and the Author had very nicely and in a simple language narrated it. It is all about loving your parents and follow their values and tradition. Similarly it identifies parents responsibilities towards their children. I loved the way the author had explained three generation love stories and what difficulties they have faced in choosing their life partner. The latter part of the story where Rittika had explained her values were beautifully narrated. I truly loved the way she had inherited the values of his parents and grand parents. The description given by each generation about their love story was beautiful and best suited to their era. As a reader I whole heartidly enjoyed reading this book. Once you started, I am sure every reader will finish it at one go without getting bored. This book had the grip of holding it’s readers till the end. Every one should read the book and enjoy the journey of Verma family of three generation. It sounds like a movie “Kal Aaj Aur Kal”. All the best Murlidhar for a nice book.
Drawback: There were some editing mistakes which needs to be rectified.
