Verdict: ☆☆☆☆ ½ A very controversial and Heavy book which will take you into deep thinking. But I would suggest everyone should read this book as it will teach you an important lesson of the world.
About The Author: Ajay Yadav is a consultant Anesthetist, Intensivist and pain specialist. His textbook of anesthesia is the most saleable textbook book for undergraduates in India, South East Asia and Africa. He is a rational, logical and analytical thinker. It had always been his dream to write a book which can honestly unfurl the other side of the curtain.
About The book: Ajay meets his childhood friend Shruti on a social networking site. He finds her struggling with interpersonal, interpersonal, inter-social and inter-religious conflicts. Eventually the conflicts killed her. Police could solve the case, but will it prevent hundreds of Shrutis from getting killed? How long will we aim ‘who’ killed, more important is to find out ‘what’ killed. Till we don’t address this issue many Shrutis will keep on getting killed. We need to cure the disease not only the symptoms. This book is an effort of the author to find the root cause and probable remedies of these conflicts, exploration of hundreds of pertinent questions like "why in one religion, it becomes so easy to get volunteers to blow themselves up and others for the sake of religion? Does the religion divide or unite? Have the immature and wrong interpretations of female emancipation led to 13 times rise in divorce rates in last 5 years?" It’s not only a book; it’s the path to a revolution, it’s a journey towards a Utopian world. If you are open minded, have courage to accept the truth and have a desire to change the world; then be a part of the change. Let’s take our first step to build a road to this Utopian dream. Review: The cover and the title perfectly matches each other. It is a tree with one part with leaves and other part without leaves. As per Title “From Where I see” Some will see leaves and some without leaves. The Author wanted to convey a very important message with this book. It means there are two sides of the coin. So one needs to appreciate the right ideology of a person not the person himself. The Blurb starts Tells about the death of an Author’s friend and the events associated with the death. It is a very controversial book which is not easy to digest, but once you start reading you will learn lot’s of important things which will surely change your perspective towards society. There were some of the chapters in the book which will make you think a lot about the society in general. As a reader, I am totally supporting the ideology of the Author. Reading this book is like you are also participating in the discussion as some topics really changed your perspective and on some topics you were not agreed with the author. Still In our society Intercast marriage is objectionable and one cannot change the perspective of the society towards it. It is really difficult. However, I hope after reading this book people’s perspective change to some extent. This book is totally debatable. But at the same time some people may not like this book. The Author’s discussion on religion, women empowerment was highly appreciable. I loved the way he explained Husband and Wife relation should be as a friend and both help each other in their respective work to strength the relationship. One more thing, It is true one should not blame the government for anything bad we should together do something for the society as a whole. I must say the author had very well researched for the book. His analysis towards society and people are commendable. I hope people after reading this book follow what the author wanted to convey. Overall, if you appreciate Indian Literature and wanted to read something innovative Go for this book. It will be beneficial to all the readers. I want readers to read this book slowly.
