Name of the Book: The Rosh Bush
Publisher: Authors Pride Publisher
Verdict: ☆☆☆ ½ A nice and lovely story that exquisitely explain about relationship and love. A magnificent narration that will engross you till the end specially the latter part of the book. For all romance lovers who wants to read book other than Chick-lit can read this book.
About the book: A love story of a young, carefree girl who finds the man she craves. Before their love could fully blossom trying times pour over them taking away the fragrance. Where do these trials and tribulations lead her? The story has a strong narrative which is descriptive and creative simultaneously. It highlights very genuine state of the protagonist's mind and unfolds some important but less talked about moments in a relationship. Throughout, it carries an air of suspense... fragrant like a Rose Bush. One must not miss this beautiful modern classic.
About The Author: Priyanka Lal hails from Ranchi, Jharkahnd. She completed her Master in Life Science from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore in 2010. She is settled in Bangalore and worked as a teacher in one of the schools. She is in love with words and writing hours are the best time of her life. Writing brings out the best in her. When she has a pen in her hand she is in her element.
Not a trained dancer, she enjoys dancing; she cooks because she loves food, reading is her passion and her favourites are the classics. She draws inspiration from authors like Jane Austen, Danielle Steele, Munshi Premchand, Saratchand Chattopadhyay and many such stimulating writers. An incessant talker she loves to be surrounded by friends.
Bollywood addict, she also enjoys the English sitcoms.
She has learnt a lot from the books she has read ever since she was a kid and she wants to give back to the world of books and words. She wants to keep writing until words can continue weaving magic. ‘The Rose Bush’ is her first step in that journey.
Mother of one, her husband is her strongest support and her mom her muse.
Review: First impression of the book is Overwhelming. The cover design is pleasing and match with the title. The lady blind folded in a rose garden clearly indicates about her life journey which is build on difficulties. The blurb engenders an urge to read the book to the end, as it talks about girl’s journey based on love and relationships. Since, passionate romance and relationship are one of my weaknesses, as a result, I could not stop my eyes from the book till I finished it. However, the journey of Kadambari, the main protagonist of the book is well narrated and nicely portrayed by the Author. As a reader, you can relate to her in some part of her phase of life. The harsh phase of her life, failure in love, was staunchly undertaken by her in the book. As a result, I just fell in love with the girl. The latter part of the book where she find her dream man was the highlight of the book. I just enjoyed reading the love between Rudra and Kadambari. Totally enthralling and well written book. The relationship between Rudra and Kadambari really touched the core of my heart. These days these type of people are seldom found, but they are the dream man of every girl. A nice and attention-grabbing book for all the readers who love to read passionate romance.
Drawback: The font size was very small so it was sometimes difficult to read the book. Secondly the length of the book was too long. Some part of the pages could be cut short like Kadambari and Rudra’s honeymoon part was stretched too long which can be eluded, similarly Shapath and Kadambari’s relation was also can be cut short. These things make the book dreary and you want to leave the book in between.
Nonetheless, the concept and narration hold you to discontinue the book in between. Therefore, as a reviewer I would suggest if you love reading books and have good time then ignore the length of the book and grab the book to read. I loved it and would recommend people to read it. Good luck author waiting to read more from you…
