Director: Anand L Rai..
Cast: Kangana Ranaut, Deepak Dobriyal, Madhavan, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Jimmy Sheirgill, Swara Bhaskar and Eijaz Khan
Verdict: ☆☆☆☆ ½ Kangana Ranaut was a treat to watch. A nice and family movie with a pinch of comedy. I would recommend everyone to go for this movie
About the movie: Tanu Weds Manu Returns traces the problems of a love marriage: You fall in love with someone, but with time personalities change; while some of us learn to grow up or grow old with the one we loved, most of us feel disappointed and irritated. Also Tanu (Kangana Ranaut) and Manu (R Madhavan) were the best example of ‘opposites attract each other’; but can opposites also live and grow old with each other? That's the tricky question Anand explores in the sequel. The mismatch of a couple looks like a romantic attraction in the beginning but turns out to be one of the main struggles of a marriage….
Review: First of All, I just loved Kangana Ranaut’s acting both as an irresponsible and bold girl Tanu and other as a responsible and Haryanvi athlete Datto or Kusum. She is one such actress who had played both the roles confidently and one cannot judge from the body language and expression that they were the same girl. I loved the way she had fluently spoken Haryanvi language. The starting scene between Madhavan and Tanu after their Marriage in a mental Asylum was hilarious. The dialogues of the movie were superb. Hats off to the writer. Deepak Dobriyal (Pappi) was the highlight of the movie. The writer had given hilarious dialogues to him and he had again given the audience full entertainment. His comic timing and as a supporting star to Madhavan will make the audience jump from the seat.
Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub who Played “Advocate Arun Kumar Singh” (Chintu) was the new entry in the movie who played his character brilliantly. Although he had a small role, but whatever dialogues were given to him created an impact on the audience. Specially this dialogue : In his first meeting with Raja Awasthi (Jimmy), Chintu says, "Hum hain kandha. Jab ladki dukhi hoti hai to humare paas aati hai. Aapne jhatak tha to doctor aa gaya, abhi doctor ne jhatak diya hai to hum hain. Jab hum jhatakein to to tum wapas lapak lena." And one more dialogue he told Tanu’s Father “Sun riha hai na tu ro riya hu main…
Madhavan was also ultimate. He played his role as Manu Sharma, the sweet boy who falls in love twice was nicely done. Swara and Ezaz were as lovable as they were in the first movie and so was Jimmy Shergil. Not only them, but also Datto’s Family, Tanu’s family, Manu’s family all portrayed their character perfectly..
Sometimes Sequel’s are always boring. But I must say the Sequel Which Anand made was awesome, so as the first one. One can see this movie twice. The songs were also enjoyable to listen, Overall A nice and Entertaining movie. Full paisa Vasool. Go and spent your day with Tanu and Manu…
