Verdict: ☆☆☆ A sweet and innocent love story with full of emotions. All those readers who love to read chicklit can read it.
About The Author: Komal Sikha is a newbie in the writing world. Now that she is in, and loves this world thoroughly, she plans to go on and not to settle down any sooner. With her first fiction out here, You Are Not Mine... that she happily tags it as... a ChickLit.
She turns twenty three along with this book; she hopes the best is yet to come. She is born in Kolkata, lives in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She holds a masters degree in English and Comparative Literature from Pondicherry University and in her past time, she is a full-time reader, blogger, nature photographer, takes up social well being. In real life, she is a do-it-with-passion person.
This is another coming-on age story dipping into love, romance, friendship, career and everything else around her life. It was simple until she falls in love with him. It gets complicated because he is committed. And it never begins, but ends every time. And then the beautiful gang of friends is the easiest and greatest escape, thankfully. What makes the story special is... Its Fate vs. Destiny, God vs. goodness, happiness vs. peace, commitment vs. compromise, and above all a beautiful dream vs. the scary truth.
Drive love, and romance, and friendship, and nature, down the beautiful and peaceful lanes of Pondicherry with the You Are Not Mine... Still I am scared to lose you!
A must shower in this monsoon!
Review: First look of the cover is attractive and pleasing. The title “You are not mine Still, I am scared to lose you” clearly indicates as a chicklit love story. The blurb is simple and give you a rough idea about the love story. I loved the way Komal had maturely defined the relationship between Keya and Ashank. It was sweet and beautiful. I enjoyed reading it. The initial pages where their relationship grew stronger was wonderfully narrated. Specially where Ashank had expressed his love towards Keya. It was truly beautiful. The climax was as expected. It was nothing new. A perfect end to the book. I just love the way South is beautifully defined. As a fresher she had done a wonderful job. She has a wonderful writing style. As a reader, I want something more and, fresh from her. I would recommend this book to all the people who love to read chicklits and to those who are in love or had experienced love. All the best Komal. Waiting for more from your side.
Drawback: There are lots of editorial mistakes. The book needs to be edited properly.
